Who doesn’t look forward to a three day weekend? We tend to greet Memorial Day with anticipation as it usually brings a little extra R and R after a long week. For a large segment of our population however, Memorial Day is not just a day for family picnics, a short get-away or the Indy 500 Races. It is a somber day of mourning and remembrance of beloved family members, friends and fellow service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.
This Memorial Day take a few moments to reflect on the lives lost in service to our nation’s flag. Learn about Gold Star Families or some of our nation’s defining moments on the battle field. Visit a Vietnam War Memorial or watch a video tribute to a fallen soldier. Learn how America’s missing service members are honored at The Tomb of the of the Unknown Soldier.
If this Memorial Day weekend brings a somber occasion for you and your family, we would just like you to know that we appreciate your family’s sacrifice and we will do our best to honor your fallen hero at Memorial Day and whenever else the opportunity arises.
